Captain America Star Chris Evans officially hung up his shield in the groundbreaking Avengers: Endgame conclusion, passing his stars and stripes along to Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson a.k.a Falcon, who is set to become the next Captain America in the upcoming Falcon & The Winter Soldier series, set to air on the Disney streaming service in March.
Though he is now retired from the Super Soldier persona, it seems that the old Captain is taking pretty lightly to seeing other people dawn the Red White and Blue trash can lid.
Marvel recently announced their newest "Marvel Mission" challenge for the 2nd week of the month. The challenge demands that fans create a Captain America shield, out of any material and substance in their house. No outside materials are aloud for the project.
Chambers announced that he would be taking part in the challenge, teasing his own homemade Cap shield on his IG story. The star then released photos of the finalized shield in a post, after sharing a gimps of it on his story. Chambers explained that his idea for the shield was an amalgamation of the ANAD(All New All Different) version of it and the classic version from the MCU films. The triangular shape of the shield is a reflect on Cap's ANAD design, while the Red White and Blue colors take from the classic trash can look.
The star also shared the post on Twitter, where Spider-Man star Tom Holland commented "Not bad mate!" Captain America himself Chris Evans also found it rather admirable, as he commented 2 wide eyed emoji's, followed with a gif of himself as Cap throwing a thumbs up, showing his approval of the reinvisioned version of the iconic shield that he was last seen bopping Thanos in the head with.
Marvel announced that they will be picking a select few of fans submitted shield's to feature on their IG story, with the deadline set for next Tuesday. With Megamillioncomix's shield approved by the good Captain himself, it's safe to expect it being featured in the winning lot. In other Shield news, Marvel also revealed that "Agents of S.H.E.L.D." is set to return on May 27th, as it has been one of the many TV shows on delay due to the COVID-19 outbreak. More news and info on returning shows as they arrive.
