After the announcement last August of a CW pilot order for a live action reboot of The Powerpuff Girls was announced, the network has finally revealed it's 3 leading actresses who will headline the new superhero series, and it appears that a certain actor is interested in making an appearance alongside them.
In a 3 way deal with Berlanti Productions(Creator of The Flash, Arrow, and Batwoman) Warner Brothers, and Cartoon Network, the series will star Chloe Bennet, who is best known as Daisy/Quake on Marvel's 'Agents Of S.H.E.L.D', Dove Cameron, best known as Mal in Disney's 'Descendants' and Yana Perrault, best known for her role in 'Jagged Little Pill'.
In light of the announcement, YouTube star Isaiah Chambers, known professionally as Megamillioncomix, took to Instagram to voice his excitement for the upcoming pilot, as he is an apparent fan of the Cartoon Network series. Chambers also gave fans a big tease by stating that he himself wouldn't mind appearing on the series, and would be down to play a major character from the animated show, Professor Utonium.
"WHY AM I SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS"? The star stated. "Might mess around and get MYSELF casted in this series...I'd be down to play Professor Utonium." In the animated series, Utonium is the super scientist who's experiments created the Puffs and gave them their extraordinary abilities. Chambers has already done work with the CW with his appearance in Season 2 of the news series Newsflix, in the backend of the series that aired in 2016. Chambers's acting credits include his role as Moe in "Infantry" the play, Romeo in 'Romeo and Juliet' and Megaman in Megaman 1 and 2. Seeing an appearance from the YouTuber in the Powerpuff series would prove very interesting, as it would be the first time that Megaman, Quake, and the daughter of Maleficent were all together on one screen.
The “Powerpuff Girls” pilot hails from writers and executive producers Heather Regnier and Diablo Cody, with Cody executive producing via Vita Vera Films. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and David Madden will executive produce via Berlanti Productions. Erika Kennair will produce. Maggie Kiley will direct and executive produce the pilot. Warner Bros. Television will produce.
