The BlackLivesMatter movement got a boost in artillery yesterday, when YouTuber and Rapper Kenneth Singleton, known professionally as Foot(Foot4Mayor), was shot and killed outside of his home, in East New York. Video footage was released that showed the rapper taking a shot to the neck by an unknown man while washing his car.
A flowerbed was reportedly put out in front of his home in remembrance, as neighbors gathered to morn his loss. along with his family, fans from all around gave condolences through social media, including YouTuber Megamillioncomix, who revealed some family relations to the rapper, as he spoke out on his killing.
Chambers took to Instagram to share an article of Singleton's death, along with a series of photos of the rapper. The YouTuber stated that the killing was "unacceptable" and that the blood spilling needs to come to an end.
The star also stated that Foot was the boyfriend of his aunt's daughter, revealing the rapper's ties to his family. "This hurts...this one stings man."
Chambers's social media has been on blast the past couple of weeks, as he's been posting about black lives matter and equal rights. the star participated in blackout Tuesday, in which he blacked out his profile and shared a very powerful post regarding BLM. About a week ago, the star took to his IG story to commemorate Academy for sponsoring free food trucks for those with low income during COVID-19. "Got one to help support" the star added, with a photo of himself with a container of food to support the cause.
A few days later, he shared another post thanking NBA2k for adding BLM mech into the NBA2k20 game store, which he revealed that he'd purchased every single one of, emptying about 10,000 dollars out of his game earnings in the process. "OF COURSE I'M BUYING ALL OF IT" he captioned.
Condolences go out to Singleton's family and friends. Black Lives Matter continues to trend in the media as Foot is the latest to follow George Floyd in black killings. The movement continues to set the tone of 2020 as possibly the biggest and most impactful movement of the year. more updates as they arrive.
