The series premiere of "Prom Knight" a YouTube series created by The Merrell Twins, aired today though a YouTube Live Stream, and collected a whopping 332K views on its first live showing, as well as a number of positive feedback messages on the episode's indoctrinating storytelling and acting. The first episode of the series saw lowly high school student Natalie(played by Vanessa Merrell) Attempting to adjust to life as the younger of her more famous twin Riley(Veronica Merrell) but things don't exactly go as easily as she expected. Filled to the brim with YouTuber Easter eggs, the episode saw references and name drops of stars such as Usher, Designer, Kingbach, Vanoss, Jacksepticeye, and Megamillioncomix just to name a few.

During an early scene that see's Natalie getting off of her bus to enter school, Rapper Designer and YouTuber's Kingbach and Megamillioncomix are referenced during a conversation between Natalie's sister Riley and her friends Sally and Abby. During the conversation, Sally tells her friends that she received a text from Drew(Andrew Bachelor AKA Kingbach) to which Abby replies that Sally deserves better, possibly hinting at a not-so-healthy relationship between her and Bach. Sally then rebuts that "Maybe Mega is better"(referencing Abby's boyfriend Megamillioncomix) To which Riley then asks if he has a brother, referencing Isaiah's brother Elijah, who has appeared in a number of his videos. Riley then mentions that Bach hung out with Designer one time(referencing the time that Bach actually met Designer in real life).
In a hallway scene inside the school, references to a number of YouTuber's could be seen, as a series of memorable quotes from tubers could be seen strewn about the walls and lockers in the area. One quote read "Like a Boss!" referencing Jacksepticeye's catch phrase. Another read "I'm not lazy, i just really really enjoy doing nothing." a reference to Pewdiepie, while another read "Yeah but that back flip tho" another reference to Kingbach. Another read "It's not that I don't care, i care about a lot of things. your just not one of them." another reference to Megamillioncomix.
In a later scene, Riley is seen wearing a Silver YouTuber necklace, that references several tubers in a single chain. Veronica Merrell teased the necklace in a BTS video a few weeks ago, hinting that fans would have to guess each YouTuber on the necklace. the necklace had 4 letters across the chain: B, G, V, and I, followed with a heart. From our guesses, the B is most likely for Batch, a.k.a Kingbach. The V is most likely for Vanoss, a.k.a Vanossgaming(who is a friend of the Merrell's). The G is likely for Gab, a.k.a GirlGamerGab(girlfriend of Jacksepticeye and close friend of the Merrell's). While the I is most likely for Isaiah a.k.a Megamillioncomix(also a friend of the twins). And the heart is a reference to the Merrell twins themselves, as it's their YouTube Logo.
Stock full of YouTubers, Easter Eggs and references, "Prom Knight" sets the record for the most anticipated series on the Merrell Twins channel, and the Episode sets the record for the most live viewers since their "Twin My Heart series, that began last month. Episode 2 is set to air on Friday at 10:00 pm.
