YouTube's biggest star Pewdiepie - real name Felix Kjellberg - is taking a break from the platform that launched him to fame. The star announced he's leaving YouTube for a year, after recently becoming the video-sharing platform's biggest star. The Vlogger was launched to fame through his videos playing Minecraft and other games, amassing millions of subscribers and followers across his various social media profiles. "I am taking a break from YouTube next year," he told heartbroken fans in his latest PewNews video.
"I wanted to say it in advance because I made up my mind. The news has shaken fans all over YouTube, including YouTubers themselves, who commented on the star's sudden leave from the social media platform.
Star Jacksepticeye commented on the PewNews video, saying: "So sad to see you go buddy! wishing you the best on your year off! see you in 2021!" Star Wishuu also commented saying: " A YEAR??? that's WAY to long without you Felix! we'll miss you goofball!" Star Megamllioncomix shared the news on instagram, stating: "Don't worry @pewdiepie we'll keep YouTube running until your back bud!"
The star was consoled by his many friends in the YouTube community, and fans have already begun posting goodbye's to the YouTube icon. with over 102 million subscribers to his name, it appears that the many remaining stars are going to have to work "Overtime" to keep Pewds fans entertained for a year until he returns, which star Megamillioncomix assures him will be no problem, as he recently rose to fame rather quickly, and continues with a total of 90,000 views to his channel as of the last 3 years(10 thousand more views will put him at 100,000 views total, making him eligible for a YouTube Silver Play Button), and nears to 200 videos going into 2020. he was also nominated for Forbes list of funniest YouTuber of 2018, though he lost to star Kingbach.
